At just 15 years old, Ava is already carving out her own unique path — one filled with hard work, passion, and a whole lot of heart. Ava is a sophomore at Crestwood High School and is currently wrapping up her second year as a member of Davinda’s Teen Team — a sisterhood of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who come together to build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and to support each other. Ava is a shining example of what it means to be strong-minded, authentic, and unapologetically yourself.

What Makes Ava, well Ava

When you ask Ava what shapes her most as a person, without hesitation, she credits her family. To her, family is everything — they’ve taught her how to love deeply, handle life’s challenges, and stay grounded no matter what. That love for family is something she hopes to carry on into her future, with dreams of building a family of her own one day that mirrors the love she’s grown up with.

But Ava isn’t just focused on the present — she’s driven by big dreams and ambitious goals. She’s determined to succeed in school, save money, and follow her passion for welding after graduation. She currently works at Gionino’s in Streetsboro and helps her dad whenever she can to save up for one of her biggest goals right now — buying her very own truck!

A Future Built in Steel

Ava’s post-graduation plans are far from ordinary — and that’s exactly how she likes it. She plans to attend welding school and become a pipeline welder, a career that would allow her to travel and work with her hands doing what she loves. She’s drawn to the freedom and independence that welding offers, and it’s easy to see that whatever she sets her mind to — she’s going to accomplish.

In 5 to 10 years, Ava sees herself moving out, starting a family, and building a life she loves. She values strong relationships and shared goals, and right now, she’s grateful to have Tristen by her side supporting her every step of the way.

Not Your Average Teen Girl

One thing is for sure — Ava isn’t your typical girly girl. She loves shooting guns, riding four-wheelers, and of course — welding! Last year on the Teen Team, Ava fully embraced her personality during the Barbie shoot, showing up as Welder Barbie, a perfect mix of her fun side and her love for welding. Davinda herself even said, “I love your not-so-girly personality, but I’ve seen a girly side peek out occasionally.”

School Life & Favorite Teachers

While Ava would much rather be working than sitting in a classroom, she does have a soft spot for her math class — thanks to her favorite teacher, Mr. Judd. Math happens to be her favorite subject, and Mr. Judd’s positive influence has left a lasting impression on her.

As for English? Let’s just say it’s not exactly Ava’s cup of tea — but she’s getting through it with that same determination she shows in every other aspect of her life.

Why She Loves Being on Davinda's Teen Team

For Ava, being a part of Davinda’s Teen Team means more than just modeling for photoshoots — it means friendship, encouragement, and being surrounded by people who genuinely lift each other up. Her favorite things about the team are how kind everyone is, how much confidence they give each other, and how they’re always there when someone needs support.

“The Teen Team has changed so much with more photoshoots during the year and different kinds of birthday shoots that are all so beautiful,” Ava shared.

Final Thoughts

Ava’s story is one of hard work, love for family, and staying true to yourself. She’s proof that you don’t have to fit a mold to be beautiful, strong, or successful. Whether she’s working hard at Gionino’s, saving for her dream truck, or welding her way into her future career — Ava is doing life her way. And that’s what makes her truly special.
